Background and Expertise

Daniel M. Tessier, Ph.D.

Founder and Director

Daniel has over 25 years of experience in environmental chemistry and toxicology, including basic and applied research in academia and industry, teaching, project management, design, implementation and oversight of regulatory studies for agrochemicals, GLPs, USEPA and OECD test guidelines.

His expertise in environmental chemistry is focused on the fate and transport of agrochemicals other environmentally relevant chemicals of concern. His expertise in toxicology centers on mechanisms of toxicity and environmental & occupational illness.

Daniel is experienced in product stewardship and in technical and regulatory aspects of domestic and international agrochemical registration. He has a proven track record of effective teaching and science communication. He has consulted with a major Chicago law firm on cases of chemical exposures and worker illness.

Daniel earned a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Dr. Tessier is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Science, Technology and Research Institute of Delaware (STRIDE) and the Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance (DESCA). Through these and other affiliations, he works with a diverse group of expert scientists and engineers from industry and academia to ensure appropriate expertise is brought to every consulting situation.
